To coincide with the PAGBs publication of a new pain information leaflet, Codeinefree has today launched a new information only site. Please visit

The next annual general meeting will be held at the public bar of the Campanile Hotel, Glasgow on Wednesday 20th April 2010 at 7:30pm
We have been fortunate to have been invited to address the ICCA at The Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth on the 13th October 2010. This gives Codeinefree the chance to address a group of private pharmacy chains about how OTC addiction can overwhelm people and how we think the problem should be addressed.
Weve fixed the faulty links on the Relaxation page that were inadvertently introduced after the site upgrade.
We apologize for this oversight.
Codeinefree has been invited to address the RCGP Substance Misuse Unit at their event being held in York on Thursday 21st January 2010.

Today, Sheila Kelly of The Proprietary Association of Great Britain has agreed to Sponsor Codeinefree's exhibition at the RCGP 15th National Conference: Working with Drug Alcohol Users in Primary Care - Integrating Practice and Policy: Everyone's Business exhibition in Glasgow next year.
We are thrilled to have the PAGB on board with us for this exhibition and offer our most heartfelt thanks as, without sponsorship, we would not be able to attend.
The server upgrade is now complete.
It seems that every six months it happens - Codeinefree outgrows the hosting package. Last time we took the plunge and went for a private server which we (ok, "I") thought would have capacity for a couple of years.
Over the last week i've been looking at alternatives and found that we really aren't getting a good deal for our money. I've opted for a Canadian company called VPSVille which, for the same money, are offering us four times the capacity of the hosting platform we're on. Not to mention four processors instead of two and twice the memory which should help with slowdowns.
Anyhow, I've been testing them out over the last few days which includes opening support tickets and i'm very happy with what they are offering so plan to swap on wednesday. If the live swap goes as well as the test site, it should only take an hour or two for .me.uk and a couple more for .org.
I'll transfer the the .me.uk site at 10:00am on Wednesday and the .org on Thursday. This could cause a problem for people to access the site afterwards as it takes up to 24hrs for the new dns settings to propagate throughout the internet. If you do have problems, try:-
Windows (This is from memory!)
1. Click on Start.
2. Click on Run.
3. Enter cmd in the box.
4. A black window should appear. Enter ipconfig /flushdns and press enter.
5. It'll say something to the effect that the DNS cache has been flushed.
6. Type exit and press enter to make the black box go away.
Linux
1. Open a Terminal window.
2. Enter sudo /etc/init.d/nscd restart and press enter.
3. If you don't have nscd installed, it can be installed by sudo apt-get install nscd
Apple Mac
Sorry, I haven't a clue.
